Darlingo is committed to maintaining a safe platform. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation in any form.

1. Our Commitment to Child Safety

Darlingo is an adult-only dating and social discovery application. We maintain a strict minimum age requirement of 18 years for all users. We are committed to preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform in accordance with applicable laws and Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy.

We actively enforce this commitment through a combination of age verification at registration, content moderation, user reporting tools, and prompt action against violations.

2. Zero-Tolerance Policy

Darlingo has a strict zero-tolerance policy for:

Any content, communication, or behaviour that constitutes or facilitates child sexual abuse, exploitation, or endangerment — including child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — images, videos, text, or any media
  • Grooming, solicitation, or exploitation of minors
  • Any attempt by an adult to establish inappropriate relationships with individuals under 18
  • Sharing, distributing, or promoting content that sexually depicts or exploits minors

Violations result in immediate account termination and mandatory reporting to relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement agencies as required by applicable law.

3. Age Restriction & Verification

Darlingo is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We enforce this through:

  • Age declaration at registration — users must confirm they are 18 or older
  • Account review processes that flag suspicious age-related signals
  • Immediate suspension of accounts found to belong to minors
  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we delete the account and associated data immediately.

4. How to Report Child Safety Concerns

We provide multiple ways to report concerns — both inside the app and externally:

In-App Reporting (without leaving the app):

  1. Navigate to the user’s profile you wish to report.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu (three dots) or the Report icon on the profile.
  3. Select “Report User” and choose the relevant category (e.g., “Inappropriate content”, “Underage user”).
  4. Add any additional details and submit. Our team is notified immediately.

External Reporting:

5. How We Handle Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Upon detection or report of CSAM on the Darlingo platform:

  • The content is immediately removed from the platform
  • The associated account is permanently banned
  • We preserve relevant evidence in compliance with applicable law
  • We make a mandatory report to NCMEC via the CyberTipline as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A
  • We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations
  • We notify relevant authorities in the UK in accordance with the Online Safety Act 2023

6. Legal Compliance

Darlingo Limited complies with all applicable child safety legislation, including:

  • UK: Online Safety Act 2023, Protection of Children Act 1978, Sexual Offences Act 2003
  • EU: Directive 2011/93/EU on combating sexual abuse and exploitation of children
  • US: PROTECT Our Children Act (18 U.S.C. § 2258A) — mandatory NCMEC reporting
  • International: GDPR, and country-specific child protection laws in jurisdictions where the app is available

Our platform is governed by the laws of England and Wales (company registered address: 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF).

7. Designated Child Safety Contact

Darlingo has a designated point of contact responsible for child safety matters and available to discuss our CSAM prevention practices with platform partners and authorities.
